Staten Island Summer

The Great Kills Swim Club will be closed this Labor Day weekend due to extensive vandalism of the premises.

This morning police were called to the local swimming pool with a complaint of a man screaming. When they arrived they found Chuck O’Brien, manager of Great Kills Swim Club, locked in a car filled with bees. O’Brien was unresponsive when asked about the situation, police believe it was due to heavy use of prescription drugs.

When police searched the inside of the pool they discovered several illegal drugs, intoxicated minors, and large boxes of illegal fireworks. Witnesses say that a large party was thrown by the staff of Great Kills Swim Club, and they provided the excessive amounts of alcohol, drugs, and fireworks.

The six staff members allegedly responsible for this vandalism are Danny Campbell, Frank Gomes, Mary Ellen Deluca, Victor Chavez, Anthony Gallo and Bobby Skootch. None of them have been heard from or found since last night. Other witnesses explained violence between intoxicated police officers and Leo Manicucci, a man who has been arrested on many allegations pertaining to the mafia.

As of now police will be charging Chuck O’Brien for possession of drugs, providing alcohol to minors, and driving under the influence and Great Kills Swim Club will be going under completely new staff and management.

  1. Nice. Now, you could take the coming of age angle, here, but I appreciate the just-the-facts aftermath angle.
